With the opening of the new Art Gallery of Alberta, the importance of art continues to grow right here in River City.

With 60 art galleries and 25 museums, Edmonton is also a hotbed of fresh talent thanks to two universities and artist-run centres that empower our artists to create and to flourish.

Here’s a few brush strokes to introduce you to some of our community’s leading art galleries, with feature stories drawn from WHERE Edmonton on the swirl of glass, steel and zinc — our new AGA — that now graces our downtown Arts District.
